I just finished this bulletin board today in our school atrium. (Click on the photo to see an enlarged version.) We all have to take turns decorating it. Well, since I am on a bird themed kick, this is what I came up with. I painted the branch right on to the bulletin board paper and the kids were FASCINATED watching me as they went to lunch. It was so cute.
Continuing the bird theme, I added these quetzal birds made by my third graders to the display boards, also in the atrium.
They drew a cage on to white tag board using a black Sharpie marker. The quetzal was drawn separately and colored with oil pastel. They were then cut out and glued to the cages so that the birds are "uncaged," or free. This was an extention of our Mexico theme.
I also added our clay projects to the showcase, all bird themed, of course.
There are owls by first grade.
And there are those wild and wiry birds by second grade.
Congrats! I will need your address so that I may send you your prize. Please shoot me an email.
Thank you, everyone, for your continued support and kind words. I will have to do another giveaway once I reach 300 followers!
